Peter Gordon
Renowned for his unique culinary philosophy,
Peter Gordon is often credited as the ‘godfather’ of fusion cuisine. He pushes the boundaries of where one national cuisine starts and another stops.
Born in New Zealand and now living between Auckland and London, Peter has restaurants in London (The Providores and Tapa Room and Kopapa) and Auckland (The Sugar Club and Bellota) , and consults to others around the world.
Peter has appeared regularly on British and New Zealand television. Most recently he presented Fusion Feasts (2013/14, TV3 in NZ), an 8-part TV series that saw him cooking on various maraes (a traditional Maori meeting place for religious or social gatherings) around New Zealand.
Peter has written seven books – the latest being Peter Gordon Everyday. He is widely recognised as an ardent supporter of the food industry and of various charities in New Zealand and the UK. He was awarded an O.N.Z.M. by HM The Queen in the 2009 New Year Honours List for services to the food industry.
